Earth Angels
That speciesism
Deaf to the wisdom
of faery lore
Killing the goose,
the whales,
and untold fruit
bearing trees that might have
saved us untold pain
Our lives depend
on microbes, photosynthesis,
beings never catalogued,
processes not understood
Focused on ephemeral
opinion,
name and number
fantasies
Realities we have yet to take in,
fall,
collateral damage
to thoughtless bravado,
petty greeds and rivalries.
