Secret Language

Secret Language

Moving into your music
Imagined emotion lilting, lifting, aligning.
Two children sharing secrets,
giggling
shifting about in our starched clothing,
hard, separating seats.
In our secret language
buzzing bees are harnessing wildflowers
dragonflies suit up blades shining
roaring into magnificent heroics.
A gentle stream, caressing
slick marbled stone
and faery moss
catches up glints of
pirated treasures, ice sculptures,
fossilized fire.
Our tongues lap easily
over silly syllables,
tricky consonants
clicking, tickling our teeth.
Inside our innocent eyes
laughter ignites memories
unembraced by words.
